Jesus came to SAVE, not DESTROY!

So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. (John 8:7-9)
Many love to point out others' sins. Somehow it makes our selfish and evil deeds a bit less gruesome.

"At least I am not like them", we say.

But Jesus warns us to check ourselves before we lay blame upon others. While we are wise to privately and in love counsel others as to known and obvious sin, we are to humbly acknowledge and confess our own. We do not point out sin to condemn, but to bring one to repentance and restoration. It is not to elevate oneself, but Christ! After all, Jesus came to SAVE, not DESTROY! (John 3:17)
