a life of daily sacrifice

Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.  For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.  But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.(Hebrews 13:13-17)
Jesus, as we know was God in the flesh. He is and was Emmanuel . . . God with us! He is a Holy God and a Perfect God! Yet He came to a sinful earth to save a sinful humanity that we may spend eternity with Him as He designed when He first made man.

So what then is our response? Do we simply utter a few words, go through some rituals, attend weekly gatherings and special events and expect to now be deserving of life and fellowship with this God?

I believe there is more! Not that we can ever add anything to what God has done, but the fact that we cannot should cause us to do our best to refect Him in our daily lives. Paul, the Hebrew of Hebrews, instructs us to live a life of daily sacrifice, honoring God. He is very plain: It's the least we can do for what God has done! (Romans 12:1-2)

As we believers, disciples of Christ,  go through life, every thought, every word, every action tells the world who we are and Whose we are. Whether we are at work, at the mall, attending an event, or at home with spouse and children, we are to be honoring God.

But are we?
