Is it not written, "My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves?"(Mark 11:17)Jesus had just cleaned out His Father's house . . . His house. People were getting cheated in the house of God. Folks could not even give a worthy sacrifice because they were being swindled before they could even purchase a sacrifice. They were not getting an even exchange for their currency. What a time to examine our "house"! Today, it's more like we are cheating God! He is giving us His all everyday, yet we come into His house and offer minimal praise, a "tip" of an offering, and hardly any effort in labor. What would Jesus do if He walked into our homes and churches today? Would He turn it upside down?
