Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.(Luke2:17-20)If we could only celebrate CHRISTmas as the shepherds did! They were simply amazed at the event itself. They thought deeply about the situation and its meaning. They glorified God! Finally, they TOLD others . . . If we could just imitate the lowly shepherds. They had no formal education. They were not popular within society. They did not hold positions of high prominence in business, churches or political fields. Yet they reacted to the Good News in a way that honored God and brought Him glory. They were astonished. They were full of joy. They told everyone they knew about it. What a way to celebrate CHRISTmas! Be overjoyed . . .Praise God continually . . .TELL OTHERS!!! Please do not allow this Good News of the coming of Jesus Christ go unannounced . . . .
"In the Beginning", the daily REMINDER from The Carroll Outreach Mission (formerly The Sparrows' Nest or TSN), is intended to jump start your day with the Lord. The Bible opens up with , "In the beginning, God..." It is our prayer that you will use this tool to begin or "restart" your day with the Lord! Only what we do for Him will last in the end!
