Whoever welcomes this child in My name welcomes Me, and whoever welcomes Me welcomes the One Who sent Me, for the least among you is the greatest. ( Luke 9:48)Everyone wants to be noticed. It's human nature. However, as believers, that statement is in direct contradiction to who we are as Christ followers. Think about it . . . it's our HUMAN nature. This means when we act in our HUMAN nature we are generally acting in contradiction to our SPIRIT nature which dwells within us! So as we serve, we serve to honor God and to meet the needs of others. We cannot be seeking applause, acclaim, or awards. Though they may come, we seek to serve just as Christ did, knowing our reward will be with our Father in heaven. It's not easy . . . but God is able!
