Christian Politics

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is NO authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. . . For they are God's ministers attending continually to this very thing. Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. . . But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. (Romans 13:1-14)

Christ followers should indeed be involved in the political system. The bible tells us to use our influence in all aspects of our lives. We are to shine our light everywhere we go!

As late as 1789 our government's Northwest Ordinance stated that; "religion, morality, and knowledge being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of learning shall forever be encouraged".

Freedom of religion is NOT freedom from religion! However, saving souls must be our goal, not winning elections! Spreading the Gospel must be our focus, not spreading propaganda or vicious insults.

As Paul reiterates above, we must always give honor and respect where due and ALWAYS  "put on the Lord Jesus Christ"!

We should obey the power of the government, because God put the government in place for a reason, so by resisting the government you are resisting the establishment of God and those who he places in office.

We should obey the power of the government, because God organized the government for a reason, so by resisting the government and the people who God allowed to be in office, you are sort of resisting God himself and his choice.

Most politics don't worry about the Christian thing to do, the are worried about the money and the world more than they are about Christ.

Us Christians should be influencing this unbelieving culture. We need to be strong. Which God do you serve? Mine's is Jesus. #thebest #holinessπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜ŽπŸ€—πŸ˜œπŸ˜πŸ˜›πŸ˜€πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‡πŸΉπŸŽ―

I think we should do whatever God wants us to do even if he wants us to disobey some ungodly laws
