New Year, Same God!

I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart and watch to see what He will say to me and what I will answer when I am corrected. Then the Lord answered me and said, "Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak and it will not be a lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. . . But the just live by his faith." (Habakkuk 2:1-4)

Many have given up hope and are simply living out their days. While the bible does tell us things will get worse and not better, we must still be on the mission of living for God and being aware of His workings so we can properly respond.

The prophet is setting himself on the watch to observe and seek the Lord's direction. He is not engrossed in the public media, the culture, or political back and forth. He is seeking God and anticipating His direction. Once he receives it, he is to write it down clearly for all to see and observe.

Our lives are our texts today. No matter what we say or write, our actions must speak plainly to others and lead them to the will of God. But do we know His will?

Many are deceived by our culture today . . . even our CHRISTian culture. We have not been very good examples of a people seeking to please God and anticipating His return. We too are caught up in the world and have been blinded by its dark light.

It's a new year but still the same God.

Will we commit to take watch and be a beacon for His Light? Will we make the commitment to be real with Him and those around us? For others to read  us, we must be an open book! May we closely follow the path God has set before us in 2016 and may He cause many to follow with us.

4-24-24 . . . .backward and forward . . . today is today no matter how we write it.

Today is 4-24-24. No matter if we write it forward or backward, it is still 4-24-24. This reminds me of my scripture today . . . Look at God...
