Gifted to Serve

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.(1 Peter 4:8-11)
If there ever should be the evidence of overflowing service and sacrifice, it must be within the Body of Christ! All believers have been gifted by the Holy Spirit and we need to use that gift to God's glory. However, it is also important that we realize that one person or one specific group cannot do it all. it takes the entire Body!
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.(1 Corinthians 12:12-14)
Many folks go unused or misused within the Body of Christ. Let's make our gifts known by serving and let's also be sure to allow those who are gifted to serve!
