Never fair . . . but worth the effort!

Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well, holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith. (1 Timothy 1:18-19)
Never fair . . . but worth the effort! Many are giving up their committment to the Lord; falling away from church attendance, Bible study, church events, and even family loyalties. Sad, but a true sign of the times. Many give up when faced with various challenges.
But Jesus did not give up!
Before we consider throwing in the towel and giving in to the pressures and temptations of this world, remember these words: Jesus endured the cross for you and me.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.(Hebrews 12:1-3)
Never fair . . . but worth the effort!
