A Life of Thanksgiving

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Regardless of the circumstances, the believer has reason to rejoice! Our joy is not based on circumstance, but in our relationship with the Savior! Paul encourages the Thessalonians and us today to remain in communication with God as he had done, being thankful in every situation. Not thankful for the pain, or the sadnes, but thankful that we know the outcome!

Nothing continues to amaze me more than the words of Job after he was stricken by Satan:
At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in
worship . . .(Job 1:20)

Living a life of thanksgiving is the greatest evidence of a sincere walk with the Lord!
