Do You Believe?

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:16)

John was a simple writer . . . he stuck with a basic theme in his writing . . . believe and live. He in this ofte-quoted but seldom lived out verse, we hear the basic message of CHRISTmas . . . God so loved us all! The question is posed to us as it was to Niciodemus . . .
Do You Believe?

It is a too-simple process: All one must do is believe? That's it? It does not cost me?

The prophet Isaiah wrote long ago:

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.
(Isaiah 9:6-7)

Among all the hustle and bustle of CHRISTmas it remains simple.
Is He our Wonderful Counselor, our Mighty God, our Prince of Peace? Does He rule our lives? Do we live for justice and righteousness? Do we believe?

This CHRISTmas, let's live out the love of the King and share His gift . . . of love!
