04 24 08 They’ll Know We are Christians by Our…

“Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless…”
(2 Peter 3:14 NKJV)

Peter, realizing his life in near the end, is reaffirming Paul’s writings as true and also Paul’s role and authentication as an Apostle. He warns against false teaching. He challenges believers to study and know God’s Word, not simply to rely upon others to tell us what it says. As we see the days becoming worse and worse, it is imperative that we are one as a Body and one with Christ. We need to hold one another accountable to both know the Truth and live it out!
How are we responding? What are we teaching our families? How are we living out God’s Truths? Are we a living and breathing church within our community and the world? Ca those who know us say we are living Epistles of Jesus Christ?

Fill in the blanks: They’ll Know We are Christians by Our______________.

We are individually and corporately responsible to discern error and to respond to it biblically. As the last days approach, let us fix our hope on the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us seek to live holy lives, so that we practice and proclaim the excellencies of God before a godless world. May we be men and women of the Word, encouraged in our study of the Bible by faithful teachers and turning from those who are false. Let’s also be sure to support and encourage the teachers who are faithfully carrying out their tasks as under shepherds in God’s household. May we not be guilty of twisting the Scriptures in our own study, but, like David, turning to the Word of God to know God and to live lives which are pleasing in His sight.

In these last days, let’s be sure to be one with the One who is our Lord and Savior and with one another so the world will see Him through us!
